The Election Commission has announced the maximum spending limits for political parties, independent groups, and candidates contesting the upcoming parliamentary elections.
In Kelamba district, the highest limit for a candidate’s campaign expenditure is set at 5,750,000 rupees. For political parties or independent groups in the same district, the maximum allowable spending is capped at 79,493,756 rupees.
Furthermore, after the election, the signatures of the party secretary, independent group leader, and candidates must be authenticated by either the Oath Commissioner or a Justice of the Peace. These certified documents must then be submitted to the Election Commission within 21 days following the announcement of the election results.
