Eight former cabinet ministers who approved a controversial cabinet paper presented by ex-Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella have been summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to provide statements regarding the alleged immunoglobulin scam.

The ministers who have already recorded their statements with the CID are Prasanna Ranatunga, Harin Fernando, Roshan Ranasinghe, Ramesh Pathirana, Wijedasa Rajapaksa, Nalin Fernando, Vidura Wickramanayake, and Nazir Ahmed.

Additionally, sources report that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who chaired the cabinet meeting where the contentious proposal was approved, and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena are also expected to be summoned for questioning in the near future.
