Due to the country’s economic problems, without ministerial positions, we will help in parliament! Dallas makes an official pledge

Member of Parliament Dullas Alahapperuma, has imposed four conditions for supporting President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s proposal for an all-party government.

This was mentioned by Mr. Alahapperuma in a tweet.

He and his team met with the President yesterday (Aug. 4) and discussed four relevant conditions.

considering the country’s critical economic stability, they have proposed that no new positions be created for the current cabinet, and that no state or deputy ministers be appointed.

They have also stated that they support the concept of an all-party government. They will not accepted any ministerial positions as a group.

It also states will they provide full support in parliamentary subcommittees and other parliamentary matters.

Among those suggestions is that education should be prioritised to pre-pandemic levels.

1. We understand that the country is in a critical level in terms of economic stability. Therefore, We suggested that no new positions should be created into the present Cabinet. No State or Deputy Mins. should be filled.
