Today, the Colombo International Book Fair 2022 opened at the BMICH in Colombo.
The Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association is organising the 23rd Colombo International Book Fair, which will take place in Sri Lanka.
The book fair will be held from now till September 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This morning, Education Ministry Secretary M. N. Ranasinghe proclaimed the Fair 2022 open.
This year’s book fair, which could not be organised last year because to the Covid epidemic, will feature more than 400 local and foreign book exhibitors.
Due to challenges with public transit, the book fair will conclude at 7:00 p.m., and it will also carefully adhere to the Health Ministry’s Covid requirements.
In anticipation of the book expo, special bus services have been established from the Bambalapitiya, Colombo- Fort, and Maradana train stations.
