Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said today (16) that there is no plan to implement the QR system or any other system for fuel distribution in Sri Lanka. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
The minister also mentioned that the government, the Ministry of Power and Energy and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation have not held any discussions to bring back the QR system.
Some social media have published that the government is preparing to bring back the national fuel license or QR system to limit fuel consumption due to the current military situation between Palestine and Israel.
