Deadline for President to Release Unpublished Easter Attack Reports Expires Tomorrow, Warns Udaya Gammanpila
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Former Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila has stated that the deadline for the President to release two unpublished reports on the Easter Sunday terror attack expires tomorrow (21) at 10 a.m.

Speaking to the media today (20), Gammanpila said, “The deadline I gave the President to publish the two reports regarding the Easter attack, which he has hesitated to release, ends at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The President has until that time to fulfill his constitutional duty by making these reports public and avoiding the risk of impeachment. However, if the President fails to comply with Article 38 of the Constitution and does not release the reports by tomorrow morning, I will take the responsibility of presenting them myself.”
