Court sets a date for Pohottu MP Milan Jayathilaka’s bribery Case! I Sri Lanka Latest News

Colombo High Court Judge Navaratne Marasinghe ordered the hearing of the case against Member of Parliament Milan Sajith Jayathilaka and a member of the Dompe Regional Council for accepting a bribe of 6 lakh rupees to issue a license for quarrying granite.

In 2012, when the accused Member of Parliament Milan Jayathilaka was working as the Chairman of Dompe Regional Council, the Bribery Commission filed this case against the defendants under eight charges, including receiving a bribe of Rs. assigned.

Milan Sajith Jayathilaka, Member of Parliament, who was the chairman of Dompe Regional Council, and Ajith Sisira Kumara, a member of Dompe Regional Council, have been accused.

When this case was called, the defendants appeared in court.

The judge considered the facts presented when the case was called and ordered the case as such.
