Colombo Additional Magistrate Mrs. Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday (22) ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to immediately submit the video footage and all photographs taken by the Borella Soco officers regarding the death of Janashakti Group Director Mr. Dinesh Shafter to the expert medical committee. Did Mr. Shafter kill himself? Or killed? It was ordered to submit the relevant case materials for the investigation conducted by the five-member expert medical board to make a decision.
It was revealed in the court that the second post-mortem examination of Mr. Dinesh Shafter conducted at the Galle Karapitiya Hospital has been completed and the panel of experts held a two-day discussion round at Peradeniya University campus and another three-day discussion was held in Kandy to reach a final conclusion regarding the death.
The case was recalled yesterday (22) and the Criminal Investigation Department, which stated that it had received genetic reports related to the blood sample of Mr. Shafter’s mother, filed the phone analysis reports obtained within six months before the death of Mr. Shafter to the court.
