In this regard, the senior electrical engineer of the hospital, Navy Lt. Col. P.K.D. Godakanda has complained to Boralesgamuwa police. According to the complaint, the value of the stolen copper belts is about 6,597,000 rupees.

According to the complaint, the police say that the theft has taken place between January 30 and July 3.

In the initial investigation, the police found that there is no room for outsiders to enter the hospital premises and carry out such a theft.
