Minister Prasanna Ranatunga has said that it was President Ranil Wickremesinghe who restarted the development of the country, which had stopped for more than three years due to the Covid and economic crisis, and has also stated that he expects the maximum support from the state machinery for the development work.
The minister has stated that it is the responsibility of the district coordination and regional coordination committees to identify development projects suitable for the province, district and divisional secretariats.
Minister Prasanna Ranatunga mentioned this while participating in the event to inform officials about the Mountain Decade Development Program at the Matale District Coordinating Committee.
It was held at the Matale District Secretariat.
The meeting was chaired by the co-chairmen of the Matale District Coordinating Committee, Member of Parliament Nalaka Bandara Kottegoda and Central Province Governor Lalith U. Gamage.
