The Colombo District Court has extended the injunction issued against the Samagi Jana Balavegaya party, preventing the suspension of party membership, chairmanship, Kelaniya organizer position, and disciplinary action against Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, until March 19th. This decision came after a petition filed by Mr. Fonseka was considered by Colombo District Judge Mr. Sandun Withana.

The injunction also applies to key figures in the party, including Mr. Sajith Premadasa, Mr. Ranjith Maddumabandara, Mr. Tissa Attanayake, and Mr. Harsha De Silva. The case revolves around disciplinary action taken against Mr. Fonseka for his comments regarding the inclusion of former army commander Daya Ratnayake in the Samagi Jana Balavegaya.

Mr. Faizer Mustapha, representing Mr. Fonseka, and Mr. Romesh De Silva, representing the defendants, appeared in court. Sri Lanka Latest News.
