Cabinet Media Spokesman Mr. Vijitha Herath announced that a Chinese warship has requested permission to visit Sri Lanka, and the government has granted this request. The ship is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka within the next few days.
Notably, during the final days of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s administration, visits by Chinese research vessels to Sri Lanka were suspended.
