The Chinese government has agreed to supply the entire requirement of school uniforms for the year 2026 as a grant, benefitting 4,418,404 students across government and government-aided schools.
The official certificate exchange ceremony for this agreement was held at the Ministry of Education premises in Battaramulla.
The event took place under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Madura Seneviratne, and the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong.
During the ceremony, the certificates of agreement were formally exchanged between the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Mr. Nalaka Kaluwewa, and the Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Qi Zhenhong.
