The police have started an initial investigation into an incident where a star hotel in Colombo allegedly provided food to the activists since the beginning of the Galle face struggle.
The police also said that they have received information that the activists have received 500-600 food parcels per day from the hotel.
Food parcels are said to have been given since the beginning of the struggle until recently.
Police sources say that investigations have been started to find out whether these food parcels were given free of charge or whether they were ordered and given by some organization.
Police sources say that this was revealed during the questioning of a protester who was arrested by the police.
