Chandrika Makes High-profile Return to Party Headquarters on Daly Road, Joined by Ministers After 5-Year Absence

Former President Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga returned to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party headquarters at TB Jaya Mawatha in Colombo yesterday evening (06) after five years. Sri Lanka Latest News

Along with her arrival, many ministers from the party of Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party also came.

Among the group were Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna and the Party’s Secretary Member of Parliament Mr Duminda Dissanayake.

While leaving the headquarters, the former president said that she held a special discussion with the elders of the party while answering the questions raised by the journalists.

There she further said that she was always in the party but the former President Maithripala Sirisena left her and did not come to the headquarters after that.

She said she would dedicate herself to the party’s progress and we will all work together to build the country.
