‘Can’t bear the cost of living’! Public servants in Sri Lanka decide to take to the streets tomorrow at noon! Sri Lanka Latest News

The State and Provincial Public Service Trade Unions have decided to engage in agitations throughout the island tomorrow (30) demanding a stipend of 20,000 rupees or a salary increase. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

Chandana Suriyaarachchi, the coordinator of the trade union, said that the agitation campaign is scheduled to be held tomorrow (30) at 12 noon.

They are engaged in this agitation demanding an allowance of 20,000 rupees or a salary increase from this year’s budget.

Accordingly, a number of services including the Development Officer, Management Service Officer, Village Officer, Samurdhi, Office Services, and Provincial Government Services will conduct this campaign jointly.

Meanwhile, Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe, the media spokesperson of the government medical officers, said that they have decided to engage in trade union actions within the next week.
