President Ranil Wickremesinghe has transferred key agencies to an investment promotions ministry ahead of an expansion of the cabinet with more ministers.
Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Colombo Port City Economic Commission, which were listed under the Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies of President Wickremesinghe has been transferred to the Ministry of Investment Promotion.
In a recent expansion of non-cabinet minister Dilum Amunugama was appointed State Minister for Investment Promotion.
In July 22, 29 ministries were created with President Wickremesinghe calling for an all-party government to be formed and some positions were not filled.
President Wickremesinghe subsequently appointed 38 state ministers, mainly from the Sri Lanka Podujana Party and some from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party
