Mannar Bishop Fideles Lionel Emmanuel Fernando and a group of priests met President Ranil Wickramasinghe at the Presidential Office this morning (16).
The President was apprised of several matters including land problems in Mannar area and Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe, who drew attention to it, said that he would take immediate steps to solve those problems.
There was also a special discussion about the provision of necessary facilities for the pilgrims who come for Madu pilgrimage.
Father Joyce Peppi Sosai Santia, Father Antony Sosai and members of parliament, including Mr. Kavinda Jayawardena were present on this occasion.
