The police mentioned that on the 8th of October, the suspects had stolen Rs 10,549,000 from an ATM machine.
Accordingly, Madurankuliya Police and Puttalam Division Criminal Investigation Division had started investigations.
Accordingly, yesterday morning (17th) in the Anuradhapura police domain, the officers of Puttalam Division Criminal Investigation Division arrested the suspects, and based on the statements of the suspects, a stolen amount of Rs 9,277,000 was found in their possession.
The residents of Galgamuwa, Varellagama and Anuradhapura, aged 28, 32 and 35, were arrested.
Two of the suspects are two private security personnel who go to deposit and retrieve cash from ATMs and one is an auto electrician.
The suspects have found the clothes used to commit the crime, a protective helmet, and a spray can that sprayed ink on the security camera.
The arrested suspects and case items have been handed over to the Madurankuliya Police for further investigation
