Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has stepped in to address the ongoing coconut shortage in the country by offering coconuts from his own plantations to the government at a subsidized rate.
According to the Coconut Development Authority, these coconuts will be provided to the government for Rs. 130 each.
Mr. Shantha Ranatunga, Chairman of the Coconut Development Authority, shared this development during a press conference held in Colombo.
