A married man named Gonapinuwalage Shehan Nilanga (28), a resident of Rathgama Gammedda area, has died. The post-mortem examination of the deceased was conducted at the Galle Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
The police said that the deceased had been consuming alcohol with 10 friends. He received a phone call while drinking with friends. He left the place about an hour later. His friends did not find him, and the police found his dead body floating in the Rathgama Lagoon the next afternoon.
The body of the deceased has been identified by the relative. He is a person who returned back from overseas. Police say that he is married for the second time and his wife is pregnant.
