The Laggala police say that an actor who played the role of a policeman in several tele dramas was arrested along with another actress in connection with a sapphire fraud case.
Blue sapphire and Luxury car, which were allegedly cheated, have also been taken into police custody.
The suspect actress has signed an agreement with a woman from that area for mining and the police say that the person who came to take care of the mine has been introduced as a Superintendent of Police of Vavuniya area.
The suspects were arrested based on a complaint made by a woman who operated the mine that she had cheated a sapphire received from the mine.
