Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasuriya, has issued an order for the immediate withdrawal of all special duty officers assigned to the Justice Operation.
In a letter directed to relevant officers, including all Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), Weerasuriya highlighted that the deployment of officers for the Justice Mission has adversely affected the regular functioning of police stations and units. He emphasized that this special assignment has hindered the proper execution of routine police duties.
