A woman was killed in Beruwala: tied with a nylon rope! Sri Lanka Latest News

Kalutara crime scene investigation bureau officers along with the Beruwala police investigated the alleged murder of a married woman by tying her with a nylon rope in a house in the Wadakahawela area of Hettimulla, Galle Road, Beruwala. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

The police said that the person who was killed was a married woman named Shanti Alexandra Jayasinghe (75) who resided in Beruwala, Galle Road, Hettimulla, Wadakahawela area.

The police also say that the security camera system of the house was not activated on the night of the 7th when the murder allegedly took place.

The husband of the deceased woman died some time ago and the only son is an employee of SriLankan Airlines in India, the daughter-in-law resides in the Colombo area and the deceased woman was living with the servant at home, the police said.

The Beruwala police who are conducting investigations have discovered that the servant went on vacation four days ago and returned home on the 7th and now the servant is missing from this house. The police said that this death was a murder.
