Regarding the cabinet paper presented by the president to restructure 5 government institutions, Professor Charitha Herath has said in a tweet that a successor president cannot sell the profitable government businesses in this manner. Sri Lanka Latest News

Mr. Charita Herath said that Pohottuwa is also responsible for this and that a strong commission will be appointed under a future government to investigate this matter.

How can a succeeding president without people’s mandate sell these profit making SOEs (in the name of restructuring)? If this happens @PodujanaParty should be made answerable. One thing is sure, in a future govt, a high level commission will be assigned to look at this issue. pic.twitter.com/J5rNZOaoK6
