The leader of the opposition said that the Business Management School of Colombo should be appointed as an advisory institution for the program to build a barren centre in Sri Lanka Cricket the chief officer of that institution is Professor Ranjith Bandara and this is a serious problem.
The opposition leader said that in any democratic country, there is an explanation regarding the conflicts between the members of the parliament and when there is such a conflict, positions in the committees of the parliament cannot be held.
Also, although he does not want to talk about personal matters, the opposition leader said that Mr Kanshka Bandara, the son of Prof. Ranjith Bandara, is sitting in the COPE committee and that his privileges have been violated, even though he shut his mouth by taking a vote so that the leader of the opposition could not speak to the state finance committee.
The leader of the opposition, who questioned the measures taken by the authorities in the parliament until he came to the COP committee, said that it is problematic how this person, who is not a parliamentary official, sat there even though the leader of the opposition was banned from sitting in the COP committee.
Opposition Leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said this today (16) while questioning the actions of the COPE Committee in the Parliament.
Therefore, the leader of the opposition said that Professor Ranjith Bandara has no moral right to be the chairman of the COPE committee and that such ridiculous actions should not be done and an explanation is needed in this regard.
