In addition, he has stated that Sri Lanka has prepared a standard operating procedure (SOP) for foreign military vessels and aircraft coming to Sri Lanka.
It is said that the government has taken this decision due to the request for permission for another Chinese research vessel to anchor in Sri Lankan waters in January next year.
