Many parties representing all districts of Sri Lanka engaged in a massive protest in Nuwara Eliya today against the President’s decision to hand over the Nuwara Eliya Post Office building to an Indian company for a tourist hotel. Sri Lanka Latest News

In the Special District Coordinating Committee held last (04) at the Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat, this protest was organized to protest against the attempt to sell the Nuwara Eliya Post Office after obtaining an agreement to give the Nuwara Eliya Post Office to an Indian company.

A large number of representatives of postal and telecommunications trade unions and postal workers representing all the main political parties operating throughout Sri Lanka, trade union representatives of other public services representing Nuwara Eliya, representatives of voluntary organizations, the entire business community of the Nuwara Eliya Integrated Trade Union to participate in this protest. , Bar association representatives social activists and a large number of local residents were present, –
