Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena informed Samagi Jana Balavega’s Badulu District Councilor Chaminda Wijesiri to leave the chamber immediately after an incident of attempting to attack Gampaha District Councilor Nimal Lansa in Parliament today (23) morning.
The Speaker also informed that MP Wijesiri will not participate in today’s activities of the House.
Thus, the Wijesiri MP could be seen leaving the assembly.
This incident occurred while Mr. Nimal Lanza was speaking about the local government election.
