Elevating its service offering in Sri Lanka, the country’s largest and fastest-growing primary care chain, Medihelp Hospitals, recently entered into a partnership with Dr. Sarath Paranavitane, Chairman of Central Medical Center, Nugegoda. The new partnership brings a diverse portfolio of high-quality, affordable diagnostic and healthcare services, and the expertise of a collective of eminent, highly trusted family physicians to the region’s residents, through its location at 132 S. De S. Jayasinghe Mawatha, Nugegoda.

Medihelp Hospitals’ rapid expansion in geography and scope of services comes at a time when the current volatile macroeconomic climate has impacted the delivery of healthcare within the country. The private healthcare chain will refurbish the Central Medical Center and refit the premises with state-of-the-art medical equipment and premium facilities. Customers can call 0112 281281 for more information.

Over the years, Medihelp has grown to become a number one choice among patients due to the personalized nature of its offering, its top-tier customer care, highly competent team of healthcare professionals as well as its spacious, modern facilities.

“We are extremely delighted to partner with Central Medical Centre and especially Dr. Sarath Paranavitane, who has been such an eminent, respected pillar in the healthcare community for over four decades. There is a certain synergy created within the coalition formed between a healthcare expert and family physician trusted by generations of patients in Sri Lanka and the country’s fastest-growing primary care chain with over 37 years of experience delivering healthcare excellence. This partnership will ultimately provide the people of Nugegoda and the surrounding towns with a reliable, complete healthcare service offering, unmatched by any other in the region,” Nishantha Jayamanne, Chief Operating Officer Medihelp Hospitals stated.

Dr. Sarath Paranavitane is the Chairman and Medical Director of Central Medical Centre (Pvt) Ltd and counts over 45 years of experience in Family Medicine. He is the first and only Board Certified specialist family physician in Sri Lanka to hold two MBA degrees; an MBA in Healthcare Services from Manipal University, India and an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He holds an MD in Family Medicine, Diploma in Child Health and Diploma in Family Medicine from the University of Colombo.

Commenting on the partnership, Dr Sarath Paranavitane said, “Over the years, Medihelp has always managed to maintain a consistent reputation for high quality, reliable and accurate diagnostics and healthcare services and it is a privilege to partner with them to elevate and expand the primary care network at my practice. Medihelp Hospitals’ unique positioning will empower patients with affordable, accessible, quality healthcare.”
Medihelp also integrates numerous digital tools into its portfolio for the convenience of its patients.

They currently offer a Live Tracking Facility to enable patients to track the progress of their appointments to ensure that they do not waste time at the hospital, needlessly waiting for their consultant. In terms of consultation services, patients can access an eminent panel of consultant specialists in general medicine, endocrinology and diabetology, genecology and obstetrics, oncology, ENT, cardiology, pulmonology, rheumatology, general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, gastroenterology, urology, dermatology and cosmetic care, nephrology and ophthalmology. Further, its purpose-built facilities include ample parking, spacious lobbies with comfortable seating areas and options to book appointments over the phone, which are all facilities equivalent to or better than other city-centric hospitals.
