Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Malaysia’s Human Resources Minister, stated that the Malaysian government has committed to hiring 10,000 Sri Lankans.

According to a statement issued today by Malaysia’s Human Resources Minister, the Malaysian Cabinet has agreed to bring in 10,000 migrant workers from Sri Lanka, with the decision made in light of Sri Lanka’s current economic difficulties.

He stated that accepting the Sri Lankan workers was one of the Malaysian government’s initiatives to assist Sri Lanka in overcoming its economic crisis.

The Malaysian Minister stated that the Sri Lankan government has submitted an official application for 10,000 personnel.

“I strongly encourage firms and businesses to support the government’s aims by engaging these Sri Lankan migrant workers to fill gaps in the relevant industries,” Saravanan said in a statement.
