Commencing from August 1, electricity charges will be increased by 69%. The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUSL) Chairman, Mr. Janaka Ratunayake, indicated.
He also said that the CEB had asked for a 130% increase, but this increase was made because it was best for the users.
