It has been reported that the Chairman of the Kahatagasdigiliya Pradeshiya Sabha, Susil Jayalath, allegedly threatened a journalist over the phone. The incident is said to have occurred when the journalist had gone to cover the Cooperative Election in the Kahatagasdigiliya area.
