A person travelling in a three-wheeler was shot at on the road towards Kohuwala near the Nugegoda Junction.
Police stated that the shooting was carried out by two unidentified individuals who arrived on a motorcycle.
The injured person has been admitted to Kalubowila Hospital for treatment, while officers from the Mount Lavinia Divisional Investigation Unit are conducting further investigations.
