India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will visit Sri Lanka on December 23, 2025, as the Special Envoy of the Indian Prime Minister, the Ministry of External Affairs announced.
During the visit, Dr. Jaishankar is scheduled to hold discussions with the Sri Lankan leadership on matters of bilateral importance.
The visit underscores India’s commitment to its Neighbourhood First Policy and comes in the backdrop of Operation Sagar Bandhu, launched by India to assist Sri Lanka in addressing the widespread devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
