Police have launched an investigation into a video clip showing a scuffle between taxi drivers from outside the Ella tourist area and taxi drivers operating within the area.
The video, which is currently circulating on social media, shows two police officers giving instructions to drivers regarding driving practices in the area.
Meanwhile, the two police officers involved in the incident have been transferred from the Ella Police Station to the Bandarawela Police Station as a disciplinary measure, according to Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police F. U. Wutler.
