Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala, stated that attempts to arrest former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran have not been abandoned.
The Minister emphasized that he is employing various tactics to pursue this objective and confirmed that Sri Lanka has been informed that Mahendran is a person of interest.
He further revealed that Mahendran is currently residing in Singapore as a citizen under a changed name, adding that the laws and regulations of that country remain a significant obstacle to his arrest.
