While there is broad agreement on restructuring the Electricity Board, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has issued a statement urging the government to ensure the protection of employees’ rights.
The statement further emphasizes that taking such measures would prevent the current trade union action, which is being conducted in accordance with regulations, from escalating into a full-scale strike.
