Two contradictory statements regarding Sri Lanka’s oil storage capabilities were made by government officials last week.
Minister Nalinda Jayatissa claimed that oil stocks have been secured and stored for a period of two months. In contrast, Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe stated that Sri Lanka does not possess the necessary tank capacity to store oil for such a duration.
