A delegation of 15 Members of Parliament representing both the government and opposition departed for China yesterday (20) on a study tour.
Accompanying them are the Deputy Secretary General and Chief of Staff of Parliament, Attorney-at-Law Chaminda Kularatne, along with three other parliamentary officials.
The delegation is scheduled to remain in China for more than a week as part of their study program.
From time to time, Members of Parliament are provided with opportunities to travel abroad for educational and research purposes. These visits are often sponsored by various international organizations.
