The Basnayake Nilame of the Kataragama Devalaya, Mr. Dishan Gunasekara, is set to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (10).
His appearance follows a notice issued by the CID, requiring him to provide a statement. Reports indicate that the statement pertains to a complaint lodged by a civil activist, alleging financial fraud at the Kataragama Devalaya.
Accordingly, Mr. Gunasekara is scheduled to present himself before the CID at 11:00 AM today (10).
