Saman Halloluwa is a celebrated wildlife photographer known for his passion for capturing the untamed beauty of nature. With a camera slung over his shoulder, he prefers to roam freely through the wilderness, chasing after the perfect shot of animals in their natural habitat.
However, Saman’s talents extend far beyond the lens. His artistic prowess is equally evident in his ability to create mesmerizing brushstrokes on canvas. A gifted environmental photographer and an artist, Saman seamlessly blends his creative instincts to produce works that captivate and inspire.
Now, Saman is set to showcase his unique artistry at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery in Colombo 07. The exhibition will open on the 20th at 4:00 PM and will continue on the 21st and 22nd, running daily from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Titled “Amuthu Art”—meaning “Strange Art”—this collection of paintings breaks conventional boundaries, stepping outside traditional artistic frameworks. “This is a collection of about 40 paintings,” Saman explains. “It includes abstracts, landscapes, finger art, and traditional scenes that defy the usual norms. Some of these works have already been sold, but I invite everyone to come and experience this unique artistry for themselves.”
With this open invitation, Saman Halloluwa welcomes art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike to immerse themselves in his extraordinary world—a harmonious fusion of wildlife photography and unconventional art.
