An Air India flight arriving in Sri Lanka from New Delhi was subjected to an emergency search at Katunayake Airport this afternoon following a tip-off about a possible bomb threat.
The flight had eight crew members and 108 passengers on board. After a thorough inspection, no explosives or suspicious items were found.
This is not the first time Indian airline flights have faced similar bomb threat alerts, leading to emergency landings and security checks at Katunayake Airport in the past.
