The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court has postponed the hearing of a case brought by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against Diana Gamage, who faces charges under the Immigration and Emigration Act. Gamage is accused of providing false information to obtain a foreign passport and residing in Sri Lanka without a valid visa.
The case was presented before Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage, with witnesses previously summoned to appear in court. However, upon receiving information that the defense attorney was unwell, the magistrate granted a postponement. The hearing is now rescheduled for February 6 of next year.
