The Fort Magistrate’s Court has approved a request by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to resume proceedings on October 30 concerning the disappearance of original documents related to the Migyana transaction.
A supplemental report from March 16, 2018, indicated that the original documentation linked to this transaction had been misplaced, prompting further investigation.
Udayanga Weeratunga, former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia and a defendant in the Migyana case, is currently out on bail.
Singaporean nationals TS Lee and J Lakehim have also been identified as respondents in the case.
