Former MP Namal Rajapaksa has addressed accusations made by members of the party, including President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, regarding the Rajapaksa family allegedly hiding wealth in various countries, including Uganda. Rajapaksa stated that now that Anura Kumara Dissanayake has assumed the presidency, it is his responsibility, along with his team, to substantiate these claims.

In a tweet, Rajapaksa reminded President Dissanayake of the need to prove the allegations that have been repeatedly raised against his family.

President @anuradisanayake and his team have been alleging for years that we have stashed away billions of dollars in Uganda and various countries. It is now time for President AKD to prove his allegations. pic.twitter.com/PU93ORSXHh
