Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam, who spoke to the media,
“Pledge money was deposited at the auspicious moment and another step forward in the victory journey was taken. On September 22, Mr. Namal Rajapaksa will be sworn in as the 9th President. Election campaigning will begin immediately after the nominations are handed over tomorrow.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna announced on the 7th that Mr. Namal Rajapaksa will be presented as the presidential candidate.
It was announced by Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam, Party General Secretary at Nelum Mawatha party headquarters.
