The deadline for the President to incorporate a group of MPs into the government expires today.
Initially, the President had informed Pohottuwa that a group of 25 MPs from Sajith Premadasa’s faction was prepared to join the government.
Pohottuwa had requested that this group be integrated into the government by July 25. If this does not happen, Pohottuwa has indicated that they will announce their stance on the presidential candidate.
