After examining a revision petition submitted by Gnanasara Thero, the Court of Appeal issued the order.
Reverend Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero, Secretary General of the Bodu Bala Sena Organization, was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment with hard labour on charges of breaching religious harmony by making a statement insulting Islam during a news conference regarding the Kuragala Temple.
That was when the relevant case was heard before the Colombo High Court on March 28.
