As part of that arrangement, Sri Lankan tourists do not need a visa to enter Thailand and can stay up to 60 days.
According to the Bangkok Post, the move, part of efforts to improve Thailand’s appeal to international tourists, will take effect on June 1, 2024.
Government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke has mentioned that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposed this measure to attract as many tourists as possible.
With these changes, the number of countries eligible for visa-free entry has increased from 57 to 93.
